ZenPond | Game

Introduction

ZenPond was brought as an idea to the Ethglobal Buildquest Hackathon, the idea is to provide gamers the ability to create their own Koi pond without the pain and struggles of digging up your backyard. ZenPond will be integrated into Twitch to specifically allow streamers to interact with their communities and to allow their communities to assist in managing their pond.

Details
  • Koi fish
    • Must be minimum of 4" to turn fish into an NFT
    • Parents will effect coloring of their offspring
    • 3-6 years of age is prime breeding
    • Translucent when hatched
    • 29 days before they have color
    • Growth is .8" per month, can reach 9.2" by year 1 (1.04" per month) year 2 could be 24" (2" per month averaged)
  • Pond effects
    • Spawning 60-70f required temperature to spawn
    • Food
    • Clarity
    • Predators and Infections
      • Going over the size limit can cause a plague (finrot)

  • Spawning events
    • A female can produce 100,000 eggs per kg of its' weight
      • 4 days after fertilization to hatch
      • 55% will survive to hatch
      • 45% will survive to day 29
      • 5-10 will survive to the 2 year mark
    • 1-2 spawns per year
  • Senbetsu (culling happens meow)
    • Selection, no deformities, should be 1.5". Then based on color and size (larger is normally selected)
    • By end of culling 5-10 will be left at 4 year mark when sold.
  • Time cycle
    • 1 minute = 1 hour in-game
    • 6.09 days = 1 year in-game

ZenPond is a beautiful fusion between the farming game genre and blockchain technologies like; NFTs, smart contracts, etc. ZenPond is a game that will be easily adoptable by gamers whether they are familiar with the crypto industry or not. The Twitch additions we will be making will allow streamers in particular to take advantage of this game as an additional tool to grow and interact with their communities.
